CENTRE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND DEVELOPMENT

CSJAD Inc. is a nonpartisan membership organization exclusively for education and charitable purposes, which seeks plausible solutions to Guyana's political uncertainty and economic paralysis. Members are motivated because of societal degeneracy to put aside party affiliations and years of ethnic insecurity to provide voluntary benevolent services that are intended to alleviate the suffering of disadvantaged Guyanese citizens.
(Guyana) GT Progressive Caucus is a subgroup of CSJAD and is responsible for organizing educational programs and all activities that are constituted political. The Caucus is charged with monitoring political situations, events, trends and occurrences, which may directly or indirectly affect the Guyanese Diaspora in North America.

Presidential candidate of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) Brigadier (ret) David Granger has challenged Minister of Labour Manzoor Nadir’s claim that Guyana’s unemployment rate had fallen from 11.7 to 10.7 per cent.

Jagdeo Will Soon Announce Election Day

After 20 years of PPP/C 'Elected Dictatorship'

At a recent press briefing held at the office of the President, Bharrat Jagdeo told reporters that he is now in receipt of a letter from GECOM, which detailed its readiness for holding the much-anticipated general election later this year.

GECOM had previously announced that November 14th, was its earliest ready date this means Guyanese will go to the polls within the constitutionally prescribed period.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon, also confirmed that the new Parliament must be in place by January 28, 2012, four months after the dissolution of the last Parliament.

Thousands of Guyanese citizens displayed their anger and dismay over the high cost of living. This peaceful protest in Georgetown is indicative of the outrage over record high unemployment, public corruption, and torture by security forces, the high school dropout rate, poor health services and violent crime that is out of control.
